IT'S GREAT TO SEE YOU TODAY.

UH, FIRST OF ALL, A, UH, UH, CONGRATULATIONS, UH, TO THE MAYOR, THE MAYOR PROTEIN AND COUNCIL MEMBER, UH, GLOVER ON NOT DRAWING AN OPPONENT, UH, BY THE, UH, FI FRIDAY DEADLINE FOR THE MAY ELECTIONS.

UH, WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO WORK WITH EACH OF YOU IN A VERY EXCITED ABOUT OUR FUTURE AHEAD.

UM, THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ENJOYED THE NICE WARM WEATHER OF THE LAST FEW DAYS, KNOW THAT THAT APPEARS TO BE COMING QUICKLY TO AN END WITH THE COLD FRONT THIS MORNING, OUR MERCY MANAGEMENT AND RESPONSE TEAMS WILL BE MONITORING THE WEATHER OVER THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

AND, UM, YOU KNOW, MAKING PREPARATIONS TO RESPOND, UM, AS NEEDED.

UH, THE FORECAST IS, UH, BEEN VERY KIND OF TOPSY-TURVY OVER THE LAST 24 HOURS.

SO WE'LL CONTINUE TO WATCH IT AS THINGS UNFOLD, UM, THAT MAY VERY WELL HAVE AN IMPACT ON SOME OF OUR CALENDAR ACTIVITIES FOR THE LATER PART OF THIS WEEK, OR THIS WEEKEND NOW LOOKS LIKE BY FRIDAY, WE SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY WINTER WEATHER TYPES OF IMPACTS, BUT WE MAY JUST HAVE A LOT OF COLD TO HAVE TO CONTEND WITH.

SO WE WILL BE LOOKING AT, UH, WE'LL BE MONITORING ALL THOSE THINGS AND KEEPING YOU APPRISED IF THERE ARE ANY ADJUSTMENTS THAT ARE NECESSARY, UH, TO OUR BASIC SCHEDULE AND OR ANY SPECIAL EVENTS THAT WE'VE GOT, UM, ON THE CALENDAR, UH, FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK, UH, WE'D LIKE TO GO TO THE CALENDAR NOW, AS YOU KNOW, WE HAVE, UH, AS WE ROUND OUT THE END OF FEBRUARY AND BEGIN, THE 1ST OF MARCH, OUR ENGAGEMENT CALENDAR IS GETTING VERY FULL AS WE THEN GET INTO THE HEART OF IMPLEMENTING THE COUNCIL'S 20, 22 STRATEGIC PLAN AND PRIORITIES AS WELL.

UM, THIS WEDNESDAY ON FEBRUARY THE 23RD, FROM 12 TO ONE, UH, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS PROVIDED IMITATION OF, FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND THE RIBBON CUTTING FOR A TOTAL CARE EMERGENCY ROOM, WHICH WAS, WILL BE NEW AT THAT LOCATION AT EIGHT 50 NORTH HIGHWAY 67.

IT'S ALWAYS NICE TO WELCOME A NEW BUSINESS TO OUR CITY.

UH, ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26, FROM 11 TO ONE, UH, WE ARE, UH, WE DO HAVE ON THE BOOKS, THE NEXT NEIGHBORHOOD WALK, THIS ONE IS SCHEDULED TO BE IN THE KINGSWOOD SUBDIVISION.

AND, UH, IF WE, IF WE CONTINUE, THEN WE WILL BE MEETING AROUND 10 30 AT THE POINT OF WHAT A LIGHT CHURCH, THAT'S THE CHURCH AT THE CORNER OF KINGSWOOD AND THE SOUTHBOUND SERVICE ROAD IN 67.

AGAIN, IF WE MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THAT EVENT, BASED ON THE WEATHER, WE WILL LET YOU KNOW AND KEEP YOU APPRISED ON THE, THE NEED TO RESCHEDULE.

UM, ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27TH, THIS WEEKEND ALSO IS THE RESCHEDULED MARTIN LUTHER KING CELEBRATION AND PEACE MARCH, UH, ARANDA AND OUR SPECIAL EVENT TEAM HAS BEEN WORKING VERY HARD AS YOU KNOW, TO, UH, UH, TO BE ABLE TO NAVIGATE COVID IN JANUARY TO RESCHEDULE THIS SO THAT WE CAN CONTINUE THIS VERY IMPORTANT AND HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ANNUAL CELEBRATION IN OUR COMMUNITY.

UM, THEY, UH, WILL BE HAVING IT FROM THREE TO FIVE.

IT WILL BE HELD AT THE DR PIGGY AND WILSON STEM CENTER AT 1515 WEST BELTLINE.

IT'S THE OLD NINTH GRADE CENTER.

AND THE FEATURED SPEAKER WILL BE MISS OPRAH LEE.

UM, AND IT'S ALSO THE LAST PUBLIC EVENT THAT WE DID BEFORE COVID HAPPENED TO OUR AREA IN MARCH OF 2020.

WE WERE NOT ABLE TO HAVE IT LAST YEAR.

SO WE'RE EXTREMELY HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THAT EVENT RETURN.

WE'VE HEARD A LOT OF EXCITEMENT ABOUT THAT.

UM, THE CITY WILL BE HOSTING A NUMBER OF BOOTHS AS WELL, VENDORS, BUT WE'RE GOING TO HAVE ONE IN PARTICULAR RELATED TO GENERAL CITY INFORMATION.

AND, UM, UH, COUNCIL IS INVITED IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND ANY TIME WORKING THAT BOOTH AND SENDING OUT INFORMATION ABOUT THE CITY.

YOU'RE DEFINITELY WELCOME TO JOIN US AND SUPPORT THAT EFFORT.

JUST LET US KNOW WHEN YOU'D LIKE TO COME, SO WE CAN JUST PLAN FOR IT.

I JUST SAW A MOUTHFUL, BUT IT'S ALSO A VERY LONG STANDING FUNDRAISER THAT THE SIERRA ALLIANCE HAD BEEN DOING IN OUR CITY FOR QUITE SOME TIME.

THEY ALWAYS HAVE CELEBRITIES THAT HELPED SERVE.

AND SO IT'S A GREAT WAY TO BE ABLE TO GO AND MEET AND ENGAGE YOUR NEIGHBORS AND YOUR FRIENDS, BUT ALSO TO SUPPORT A VERY GOOD CAUSES.

THE LION'S CLUB DOES SOME MARVELOUS WORK IN DOING CHARITABLE PURSUITS WITHIN OUR CITIES.

AND I'M REALLY SURE THAT IF YOU KNOW ANY LIONS, IT WOULD BE QUITE HAPPY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH TICKETS.

AND SO, UH, LIONS IN THE ROOM, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, I'VE LAID IT OUT FOR YOU.

UM, PROCESS WAS HOSTED IN US AT MANY NEIGHBORHOOD EVENTS AND SO FORTH AND HAS MADE A BIG IMPACT ON THE TOWN.

HE RECENTLY RETIRED AS A PASTOR OF METRO CHURCH, AND SO WE'RE DELIGHTED TO BE ABLE TO CELEBRATE HIS LONGSTANDING SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP TO OUR COMMUNITIES.

UH, THERE WAS ANOTHER GREAT IMPACT SERVANT LEADER AWARD GIVEN, UH, TO, UH, MIKE AND PATRICIA DEEDS, WHO ALSO ARE ALONG, UH, STANDING A COUPLE WHO HAVE SERVED THE CITY IN MANY WAYS OVER.

THERE ARE MANY YEARS, UH, WITH THE CITY.

UH, THEY HAVE, UH, RECENTLY STARTED THE PROCESS OF MOVING.

AND SO WE WANT TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY ALSO TO APPRECIATE THEIR SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP, UH, TO OUR COMMUNITY OVER THE PAST MANY YEARS.

UH, WE ALSO HAVE A PROCLAMATION TONIGHT DESIGNATED THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY AS BLACK HISTORY MONTH IN THE CITY OF CEDAR HILL.

UH, AND THEN SOMETHING THAT I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO AND ALWAYS TAKE A, UH, A POINT OF PRIDE IN LISTENING TO, AND THAT'S PRESENTING TO YOU, UH, THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE 20, 21 CLASS OF THE CITY, YOU, UH, CITY AND THE CITY ME PROGRAMS, AND ALSO TO, UH, INTRODUCE AND HONOR OUR EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARD RECIPIENTS, WHICH WE, UH, RECENTLY AWARDED LAST WEEK.

UM, I WOULD REMIND THE COUNCIL THAT ONE OF THE MAJOR OBJECTIVES THAT THEY GAVE, UH, TO ME IN THE MANAGEMENT TEAM, UH, WHEN I BECAME CITY MANAGER IS TO CREATE A PROCESS OF INSTITUTIONALIZING, UH, THE ABILITY TO DO SUCCESSION PLANNING AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEADERSHIP OF OUR OWN TALENT WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION.

SO PROGRAMS LIKE CITY U AND CITY, ME, UH, THAT HAVE BEEN VERY, VERY WELL DONE BY OUR AMAZING HR TEAM, UM, ARE EXAMPLES OF HOW THAT IS ACTUALLY DONE AND WHY WE'RE ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TALENT THAT STARTS DOING ONE THING.

AND WE'RE ABLE TO THEN TAKE THAT TALENT AND ALLOW THEM TO, UH, CONTINUE TO SERVE THE CITY, UH, BY DOING MORE AND MORE THINGS WE'VE ALSO TAKEN FROM THOSE PROGRAMS. AND THEN, UM, USE THOSE TO DEVELOP OTHER PROGRAMS. SO THINGS LIKE THE CITIZENS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY THAT WE JUST KICKED OFF HAVE ELEMENTS OF IT THAT WERE EITHER INSPIRED BY OR CAME FROM, UH, THE PROGRAMS OF CITY, YOU AND SYDNEY MEET.

UH, AND SO THEY, THESE ARE RECIPIENTS.

THESE PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PRESENTED TO YOU TONIGHT BY OUR AMAZING DIRECTOR OF AUSTIN PEOPLE, CHARIOT, TRACY CHARISMA.

UH, WE HAVE A CITIZENS FORUM TONIGHT, AND THEN ALSO WE HAVE ONE ELECTION MATTER, AND THAT IS TO CONSIDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT, UH, AND SERVICE CONTRACT WITH DALLAS AND COUNTY ELECT, UH, DALLAS AND ELLIS COUNTY ELECTIONS DEPARTMENTS, UH, FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE LOCAL GENERAL ELECTION ON SATURDAY, MAY 7TH.

AGAIN, THERE'S ANOTHER LITTLE BIT OF A PROCESS THAT WE HAVE TO DO BEFORE WE CAN FORMALIZE, BUT THAT IS PROBABLY A PROCESS THAT WE WILL ULTIMATELY END IN, UH, CONSIDER OF CANCELLATION OF THE ELECTION.

AND THEN THE EXECUTION OF THE CONTRACT MAY OR MAY NOT OCCUR BASED ON THE TIMING OF THAT.

I WAS GOING TO ASK, IS THERE A TIMELINE ON THE CONTRACT THAT, THAT IS WHY WE HAVE TO VOTE ON THAT TODAY? OR CAN WE JUST TABLE IT UNTIL THE MARCH 8TH MEETING? SO THEY DO HAVE A DEADLINE AND THEY HAVE THE DEADLINE GENERALLY, SO THEY CAN START TO FIGURE OUT WHO ALL IS PARTICIPATING.

AND SO THE COUNTY CAN FIGURE OUT, YOU KNOW, JUST EXACTLY WHERE ARE THEY GOING TO NEED BOTH PERSONNEL PULLING PLACES, EQUIPMENT, AND SO FORTH.

SO, UH, WE'RE PROVIDING IT, I THINK THEY'RE AWARE OF OUR STATUS AS FAR AS THE FILINGS, UM, AND THEN, OR NOT, THAT GETS EXECUTED OR NOT BEFORE WE HAVE A CHANCE TO CONSIDER THE ELECTION ITSELF.

THIS WAS THE SUBJECT OF A BRIEFING AT YOUR LAST, UM, AT YOUR LAST COUNCIL MEETING, UH, AN AGREEMENT AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR RIGHT AWAY AND MEDIAN MAINTENANCE, UH, WITH THE CITY ALSO, UH, AN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE FACILITY USE AGREEMENT WITH, UH, MEMBERS OF OUR ALL SPORTS ASSOCIATION.

UM, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HAS BECOME ROUTINE.

NOW.

IT IS A, UH, A MAJOR STEP IN THE COMING OF THE, UH, THE SPRING SEASON FOR OUR YOUTH SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS, WHICH ARE VERY IMPORTANT COMMUNITY LED, UH, NONPROFITS IN OUR CITY THAT HELP SERVE OUR OWN, OUR OWN KIDS.

AND SO WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO SUPPORT THEM, AND WE APPRECIATE THEIR WORKING WITH US ON, ON THESE AGREEMENTS AND LEARN.

UH, THIS IS THE STATE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR DEPARTMENTS WHO ARE DISPLAYING, UH, BEST PRACTICES, AND ALSO PURSUING THE LATEST IN, UH, PERFORMANCE FOR POLICE DEPARTMENTS.

WE WERE AN EARLY ADOPTER OF THIS PROGRAM.

UH, THE CHIEF IS, UH, A BIG SUPPORTER OF CONTINUING THE PROGRAM AND ALSO, UM, MAINTAINING OUR STATUS AS ONE OF THE RECOGNIZED DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE STATE.

UH, ING IS A CONTRACT FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR CITY FACILITIES, ITEM H IN ITEM I ARE RELATED MATTERS, AND THAT IS TO CONSIDER EXECUTION OF, UH, AN AGREEMENT TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY ON HOUSTON STREET IN ADVANCE OF FUTURE ROADWAYS AND UTILITIES TO SUPPORT THE DOWNTOWN AREA.

UM, THEN UNDER THE REGULAR AGENDA, WE HAVE TWO ITEMS. THESE WILL ACTUALLY BE PRESENTED BY CHIEF RAYEZ AND WE'LL GET INTO REGULAR AGENDA.

AND THEN ITEM B IS ALSO IN YOUR LOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF DESOTO AS A SUB RECIPIENT, UH, TO THE COUNTY'S GRANT, WHICH WAS PROVIDED TO DESOTO ON THE BEHALF OF THE BEST SOUTHWEST CITIES.

UH, SO THE, THE CHIEF WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A LITTLE DETAIL ON THAT PROGRAM WHEN WE GET INTO THE REGULAR AGENDA.

UM, AS WELL AS OUR CITY SERVICES.

IT'S GOING TO IMPACT, UH, JOEL WILSON ROAD FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH AND APRIL.

UM, AGAIN, UH, WE'RE, AS WE'VE DONE IN THE PREVIOUS PRESENTATION, OUR VISION AND MISSION AND VALUES, UH, FOR THE CITY.

UH, WE ALWAYS START OUR POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS OUT WITH THAT.

AND THEN, UM, WE DO HAVE A PILLARS THAT WE USE, UM, TO DEFINE PREMIERE TONIGHT.

AND AS A REMINDER, THIS IS 158 LOT SUBDIVISION, UM, THAT HAS TWO POINTS OF CONNECTION, ONE TO 1382 TO THE SOUTH AND ONE TO THE EAST ON JOE WILSON ROAD.

UM, THE

SUBDIVISION IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

SO FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE PRESENTATION TONIGHT, UM, WE'RE GOING TO FOCUS ON THE CONNECTION TO JOEL WILSON ROAD, UM, DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS FOR THE PROJECT.

UM, WE HAD IDENTIFIED WITH THE DEVELOPER THAT THERE'S A GAS LINE THAT RUNS PARALLEL TO JOE WILSON ROAD.

UM, IT'S BASICALLY IN RED ON THE, ON THE DRAWING AND IT'S RELATIVELY ABOUT NINE TO 10 FEET OUTSIDE OF OUR RIGHT OF WAY.

UM, THE MOST ALARMING THING IS THAT GAS LINES AND EIGHT INCH GAS LINE IT'S OWNED BY EXXON, BUT IT'S VIRTUALLY ONLY ABOUT A FOOT AND A HALF IN THE GROUND.

AND IF YOU REMEMBER, WHEN WE DID JOE WILSON UP, I FEEL CITY, WE RAN INTO THE MAGELLAN GAS LINE AND WE HAD TO LOWER THAT.

UM, WE ASKED THE DEVELOPER TO WORK WITH EXXON TO SEE IF THEY COULD LOWER THAT GAS LINE SO THEY COULD MAKE THEIR DRIVEWAY CONNECTION TO JOE WILSON.

UM, EXXON BASICALLY WASN'T INTERESTED IN MOVING THEIR GAS LINE.

UM, THEY GAVE THE DEVELOPER SOME RIDICULOUS COST OF OVER A MILLION DOLLARS, UM, AND TOLD THEM THEY COULD PROBABLY DO IT AND IN A YEAR OR SO.

SO WE LOOKED FOR AN ALTERNATIVE OPTION TO, UM, TO MAKE THE CONNECTION WORK.

AND IT'S KIND OF A UNIQUE THING.

YOU KNOW, USUALLY I'M WORKING WITH DEVELOPERS TO HAVE THEM TIE THEIR STREET INTO MY STREET, OUR STREET VERSUS ME RAISING MY STREET TO MEET THEIR DRIVE.

UM, AND THAT'S WHAT WE RUN INTO TONIGHT.

UM, OR ON THIS PROJECT WE'RE LITERALLY LOOKING AT, UM, ON THE SOUTHBOUND LANES OF NORTH JOEL WILSON ROAD, WHERE THEY'RE CONNECTING, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO RAISE OUR STREET ABOUT TWO FEET.

UM, AND THE REASON FOR THAT IS, UM, JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER GAS LINES, THEY REQUIRE A THREE-FOOT CLEARANCE FROM THE TOP OF THEIR PIPE TO THE BOTTOM OF THEIR PAVEMENT.

UM, SO HERE HERE'S A PICTURE.

THE TOP PICTURE OF THAT BLACK TRUCK IS SITTING RIGHT ON THE GAS LINE AND ALREADY THE STREET.

IF YOU WERE TO MEASURE A FOOT AND A HALF DOWN FROM THAT TRUCK, THE GAS LINE IS ACTUALLY HIGHER THAN THE SIDEWALK.

AND IF IT, IF YOU'VE DRIVEN DOWN THAT STREET, THERE'S A DRAINAGE DITCH AND THEN IT RISES UP INTO THEIR, INTO THEIR PROPERTY.

SO, UM, IMAGINE WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO RAISE THE GROUND, THE GROUND, ANOTHER FOOT AND A HALF TO GET THAT THREE FOOT CLEARANCE.

AND, UM, THE PART OF JOE WILSON THAT IT'S CONNECTING TO IS ACTUALLY A SAG IN THE ROAD.

IT'S THE LOWEST POINT IN THE ROAD.

SO IF YOU TRAVEL DOWN THERE, YOU CAN FEEL IT, YOU COME DOWN AND YOU COME BACK UP TOWARDS THE INTERSECTION, UM, TO MAKE IT WORK, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO RAISE THE ROAD ABOUT TWO FEET.

UM, AND THAT WOULD INCLUDE, LET ME GO TO THIS DRAWING HERE FIRST, LET ME EXPLAIN THE DRAWING.

THE LIGHT GRAY IS, UM, THE COTTAGES DEVELOPMENT, THE DARK GRAY IS THE SOUTHBOUND LANES ON JOE WILSON ROAD.

UM, SO TO PICK IT UP TWO FEET AND MAKE IT COMFORTABLE FOR A DRIVER, NOT TO EVEN NOTICE THAT YOU ACTUALLY RAISED THE ROAD, UM, THE DEVELOPER IS GOING TO REPLACE 620 LINEAR FOOT OF PAVEMENT.

UM, IT DID ALL THE COSTS IS THERE COST TO DO IT'S NOT OUR CITY'S COST.

UM, BUT THERE, THERE WILL BE AN IMPACT TO OUR CITIZENS WHO ARE DRIVING JOE WILSON ROAD, OBVIOUSLY.

UM, THE OTHER THING I WANTED TO MENTION TOO, UH, AND I MIGHT'VE MENTIONED ON A PREVIOUS SLIDE IS THERE'S PROBABLY A REALLY GOOD REASON WHY THIS TRACK WAS REALLY NEVER DEVELOPED OR ANYBODY, UM, DEVELOPING THE FRONT OF JOE WILSON ROAD.

YOU REALLY NEEDED A PERSON TO COME IN AND DEVELOP A 16 ACRE TRACK OF LAND WITH ENOUGH MONEY IN THAT PROJECT.

GO AHEAD AND TACKLE THIS AND GET THAT ROSEBURG ROAD RACE RAISED BY TWO FEET.

UM, DON'T KNOW WHY IT WAS ORIGINALLY BUILT THE WAY IT WAS NOT GOING THERE WITH THAT.

IT'S JUST THE ONLY WAY TO RESOLVE IT IS TO PICK UP THE ROAD.

UM, WELL WORKING WITH THE DEVELOPER, UM, NOT ONLY ARE WE GOING TO RAISE THE ROAD, UM, WE'RE ALSO GOING TO WORK ON THEIR CONNECTION TO THE STREET.

UM, THERE ARE, THEY ARE AT THE MAXIMUM GRADE.

AND WHAT I MEAN BY THAT IS WHEN YOU'RE COMING OFF OF JOE WILSON AND YOU WANT TO TURN INTO THE DEVELOPMENT, YOU'RE ALMOST GOING TO BE AT A 9% GRAY.

UM, SO YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO GO MORE THAN THAT OR ELSE YOU'RE GOING TO BE DRAGGING THE BACK OF YOUR CAR ON THE PAVEMENT.

AND WE DON'T WANT THAT EITHER.

SO, UM, WE'VE WORKED ON THE GRADE, THEY'VE ACTUALLY WIDENED THEIR ENTRANCE BY TWO FEET AND THEY'VE GIVEN US A LARGER TURNING RADIUS TO TURN INTO THAT SUBDIVISION AS WELL.

UM, SO THE, THE WORK, AS I MENTIONED IS IN UNDER CONSTRUCTION, THEY ARE CURRENTLY IN PHASE THREE, WHICH IS IF YOU'VE GONE OUT THERE, THEY'VE HAD THE OUTSIDE LANES CLOSED.

UH, THEY WERE DOING THEIR SEWER BORE ACROSS JOE WILSON ROAD AND MAKING THE CONNECTION TO THE TRA LINE, UM, BEFORE THEY COMMENCED WITH PHASE FOUR, WHICH IS ACTUALLY, UM, THEY'RE GOING TO SHUT DOWN THE TWO INSIDE LANES, UM, AND WORK ON THE MEDIAN OPENING, UH, RESETTING THE GRADE ON THAT.

AND THEN THE LEFT TURN LANE THAT LEADS INTO THE SUBDIVISION,

PUTTING THAT IN AS WELL AS THERE'LL BE A CROSSOVER, UH, JUST TO THE SOUTH OF, LET ME BACK UP HERE.

SO ON THAT DARK GRAY, WHERE YOU SEE THAT LEFT TURN LANE BEING BUILT, UM, THAT'S ACTUALLY GOING TO BE THE LOCATION WHERE THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE A TEMPORARY CROSSOVER FOR THE MEDIAN AS WELL.

SO THEY'LL BUILD THE, UH, THE MEDIAN THEY'LL BUILD THE LEFT TURN LANE AND THE CROSSOVERS IN PHASE FOUR.

UM, AND THEN THE BIG ONE IS PHASE FIVE.

THEY'LL ACTUALLY SHUT DOWN THE SOUTHBOUND LANES COMPLETELY.

UM, JUST SOUTH OF, UM, WILSON CREEK APARTMENTS.

UM, WE WILL HAVE TO WORK WITH THE APARTMENTS TO CLOSE THEIR ENTRANCE, UM, THEIR SOUTHERN ENTRANCE, AND WE'LL COORDINATE THAT WITH THEM.

SO THEY'LL STILL MAINTAIN ONE ENTRANCE POINT ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THEIR DEVELOPMENT, BUT THAT'S ALL TO GET THE TRAFFIC OVER TO, UH, THE NORTHBOUND SIDE.

UM, THE DEVELOPER WILL REPLACE THE 620 LINEAR FEET OF PAVEMENT.

UM, AND THEN WHEN THEY'RE DONE WITH THAT, THEY'LL GO BACK AND THEY WILL CLOSE, UM, THE INSIDE LANES AND WORK ON RESTORING OUR MEDIUMS, UM, THE LIGHTING.

AND THEN IF YOU REMEMBER, WHEN WE DID THE PD, THERE WAS SOME LANDSCAPING IN THE MEDIAN THAT THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO TRIM BACK SO THAT THEY COULD SEE THE CARS, UM, IN THE NORTHBOUND DIRECTION.

AND THEN, UM, THIS WORK WILL PROBABLY COMMENCE, UM, EARLY PART OF MAY.

UM, I WILL NOT LET THEM START UNTIL WE DO A PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING.

UM, I WANT TO MAKE SURE THERE'S MESSAGE BOARDS OUT THERE.

I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WILSON CROSSING, UM, KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON, UM, WORK WITH STACY'S GROUP TO, UM, LET HOS AND OTHER, UM, APARTMENTS THAT ARE ON JOE WILSON.

UM, BUT THERE'S ONLY GOING TO BE MAYBE A SIX WEEK, FOUR TO SIX WEEK WHERE CARS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TRANSITION FROM ONE SIDE AND GO ACROSS A TEMPORARY MEDIAN CROSSING INTO THE OTHER SIDE.

GOOD NEWS IS THAT, UM, ALL THE TRAFFIC WILL BE IN THE RIGHT SPOT WHEN YOU GET TO THE INTERSECTION OF 1382.

SO WE'LL HAVE A CROSSOVER.

SO THAT INTERSECTION DOESN'T REALLY COME INTO PLAY.
